During the Christmas season, baked apples are a classic. To help you enjoy them throughout the winter, we'll show you how to make baked apples yourself. With these absolute treats of the Christmas kitchen you can warm your heart and soul on cold days!
And here is how it goes: first, wash the apples and cut off the upper third of each apple. These thirds will later be the covers of your baked apples, so just put them aside as you peel the core out of the undersides of the apples.
Now it's time to make the filling. To do this, combine the nuts, marzipan, raisins, butter, vanilla sugar and cinnamon into a sweet mixture and knead into four equal-sized rolls. Fill one roll into each of the apples.
Now put the ‘lids’ back on the apples and place them in an ovenproof mold. A little honey and brown sugar on top of the apples - now they can disappear into the oven for 25 minutes at 200 degrees.
By the way, the baked apples are delicious with vanilla sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
